Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Senior Manager - Life Asia Service Management

BUSINESS UNIT: Information Technology

REPORTING TO: DGM – Life Asia Service Management

Position Summary

Analysing issues raised by business users and find appropriate solution

Life Insurance Business knowledge with Life/400 or Life/Asia application

Suggest alternate solutions to issues ensuring smooth running of day-to-day business

Servicing data requests raised by business users

Monitor repeated requests for automation

Monitor repeated incidents for permanent resolution

Stake holder management for issues and reports

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for prioritizing the issues and resolution based on severity

Responsible for resolving the issues within defined TAT

Suggesting alternates solutions wherever required

Review workarounds/resolutions suggested by the team

Transfer of incidents to problem tickets & follow-up till closure

Distribution of reports to various business units

Preparation of MIS for review meetings

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications

Solid knowledge of DB2 SQL as the role requires scripting of complex queries

Basic knowledge in AS/400 and operational activities

Life/400 or Life/Asia knowledge is mandatory

Good knowledge of incident management & problem tickets management

Good understanding of the technologies that are relevant

Life Insurance domain knowledge preferred

Trouble-shooting and resolution of batch job abends mandatory

Knowledge of business objects is desirable

Responsible for tracking problem tickets till closure for permanent resolution

Stake holder management

Ensure on-time distribution of reports to various stake holders

Resolution of batch job abends to ensure on-time release of system

Coordinate with other IT teams for smooth running of various applications
