Job Title Application Support Engineer
Application Support Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the multiple enterprise applications within our organization in a technical support role. In addition to providing technical support to business users and processes, the person will also be responsible for setting up the applications to various environments and configuring the related software such as application server.
Primary responsibility is to provide technical support to various enterprise application. Issues reports by internal business users or technical staff.
Another primary responsibility is to install, manage and maintain various enterprise applications in various environments like SIT, UAT and Production
Provide support to critical issues during non-working hours; company will provide necessary equipment to carry out the work when away from the office
Adhere to SLAs defined with the business for any issues
Person will be coordinating directly with the business people, educate and make them do the tasks on their own wherever possible and should have the ability to solve the users requests on time
Coordinate with application development team to successfully deploy software releases in both UAT and Production environments
3+ years of working experience in technical support
Thorough working knowledge of Linux environment
Proficient in T-SQL (queries, procedures, functions, triggers etc.) and Linux commands
Should be able to configure, setup & maintain Java Enterprise Applications Environment (JBOSS) on Linux
Maintain technical data reports
Read and analyse application logs
Sharp troubleshooting and analytical abilities in java
Having experience in Shell scripting or any other scripting language
